Well I was completely inspired by the card at Muse Challenge #4!
Now I have to be honest I already had this Gina K Designs stamp set on my desk for a card for my Mother in Law for Mothering Sunday (just three weeks away now). So when this challenge popped up it really helped me get it together. With the layout and colors - the drink theme is somewhat coincidental!
And I guess I am more photographically challenged than normal because the purple-ly blue cardstock I choose isn't that color at all. Isn't it funny how some colors photograph.I also thought it was a fresh way to use the flourish paper. You see so many fun patterns on dishes these days. Love the dotted saucer inside. I did debate on whether to do the same with the inside of the mug but I like a clean looking inside of the mug so went with white.
I decided to move away from my copics (again! oh the horror) and do some paper piecing on this card.
I tried to do something quirky with my "happy mother's day" but just couldn't get it to look right so I went with making it underline the image to help ground it.
