I love you mower...

This card looks so simple doesn't it?  Well I wish it had been.  Now don't get me wrong, it was simple enough but there was a lot of work involved to get it to look that simple.   First there must be a tutorial somewhere about how to make this card but I couldn't find it.  So I had to think it out.  I know if you just cut a slot and tape it down either side that the pull bar gets hung up on the adhesive from when I made a pocket card.  So I fashioned a channel out of the patterned paper after I had created the grass scene out of cardstock and patterned paper and paper piecing the bushes.

And yeah, I made certain all those dots lined up on the pull bar and on the channel.

I think if I did this again I would have put everything slightly lower on the page, though I do like it that the mower is pretty much going across the center of the card.

BTW - how do you like my cutting? I used the backing off the mounting as a template to get that look.  I can't do that margin cutting normally so I was delighted to work that bit out!

This is fantastic! I can't believe you did this without a tutorial! And your attention to detail lining up all those dots?!! I'm in absolute awe! :)

Wow - well done on working it all out! I love this fun idea and especially that you took the trouble to line up the dots!
Sometimes a simple looking finish is *really* worth all the effort ;)
