Par fect Birthday

So there are only so many variation on a golfing theme.  After making the pom-pom flowers at Christmas I thought about how to transfer that idea to paper.  I also needed a card for my sports enthusiast BIL.

I think this almost works...

The fringe for the grass.  The black oval as the hole.  The circle that is debossed to look like a golf ball.

And of course the personalization on the ball!  I will say I attempted to airbrush some depth on the ball.  Something I need to keep working on.

Ingredients
Card size - 8.5in x 5.5in
Card stock - Georgia Pacific, Revelations, The Paper Source
Stamps - Just Rite Stampers
Ink - Memento
Misc- Copics with airbrush; Swiss dots embossing folder

This is an awesome card! Great job! I am looking for a birthday card for my son who pretty much golfs everyday and is going to a golfing school in Orlando at the beginning of the new year 2013. Thank you so much for posting this. If you could help me out a little on what and how you did the grass and on the hole I know that you said it was an oval, but it looks like you cut it a little. Am I right? Any help so that I can scrap lift this would be so appreciated! His birthday is August 3rd and I am going to a crop this saturday, but I do have next week that I could make it! Again, thank you so much! Wendy

Oh Wendy, I just got your comment as I was away I cut the grass fringes and attached them to cardstock with my ATG tape. Then I used a Spellbinders Oval and made the hole. Now the issue with this is that the fringed grass at the top of the hole isn't adhered so I had to go back and glue it back on. If you know where you are going to put the hole then you could adhere the fringe down before you cut the oval. HTH.
